Traffipax, Inc. is the United States
Subsidiary of Robot Visual Systems, based in Monheim, Germany. Robot, a
leading developer of traffic safety engineering products is wholly owned by
Jenoptik, AG, a publicly traded corporation with its stock traded on all
German stock exchanges. Robot is part of the Jenoptik Photonics Division.
In 1999, Traffipax was formed to better
serve Robot’s U.S. customers. Traffipax, headquartered in Linthicum, Maryland employs Robot photo enforcement products and hardware specifically
configured for the U.S. market to deliver a turn-key photo enforcement
service to municipalities in the United States. Traffipax has developed a
robust back-office citation management solution and customer service
operation integrated with Robot products.
Robot/Traffipax employs 250 people with offices in Maryland, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Monheim and Hildesheim, Germany.
Our cameras are used world-wide and we are
the leader in digital camera technology with the largest digital camera base
world-wide for red light, speed and toll enforcement.
Robot/Traffipax systems are in use in more
than 60 countries with over 10,000 installations worldwide.
Company History
While Traffipax has been servicing the US
market since 1999, our parent company Robot, and Robot’s publicly traded
parent company Jenoptik AG (Jena, Germany), have been manufacturing cameras
since 1934, and automated traffic enforcement systems globally since 1956.
